Black and Blue

Day 29.
This bruise was acquired on day 25 when I decided to never stand on one of the tables in the lobby of the theater again. It still has the very distinctive line. It's the best bruise I've had in at least two years and I'm quite proud of it.

WTF World!?

Day 28.
A mixed day. On the one hand, I rearranged the living room (always satisfying). On the other, after standing in line for 6 hours, my profile for the extras casting thing got screwed up so it was all for not and more importantly another friend got laid off today.

There are not enough expletives for the moment.

Extras

Day 27.
A certain someone and I went to an open casting call for extras for a feature film being filmed in Portland soon. We didn't realize that meant standing in line for 6 hours. It was epic. And now I'm pooped.

Almost four weeks

Day 26.
Not a whole lot to say today.

Tabeled

Day 25.
Don't be fooled, moments after taking this I nearly died jumping off this stupid table. There were other better pictures from today, but I felt like cataloging the last one on these tables.

Min'Fer

Day 24.
Cold + migraine + stress = suckage.

On the other hand, a happy birthday to my Momma. I wish I could have been there to make her a cake.

Making bad days better

Day 23.
Note to readers - don't do your taxes when you're already sick. It will take new necklaces from a certain someone's mother and a tube of chocolate chip cookie dough to rescue your day.

Pardon Me

Day 22.
I'm a mouth breather today because I am so congested.

Monday, March 23, 2009

Hazy Daze

Day 21.
Today started out with 2 benadryls and five hours of me passed out on the futon. Then I woke up at 1, realized I hadn't eaten anything yet today and made muffins. Obviously, a lot of important things got accomplished. Like sleeping during Mythbusters. It was huge.

T is for?

Day 20.
Nothing too exciting. A down-and-dirty "headshot" for a different online presence where I am supposed to look friendly and trustworthy.
P.S. T is for Tired.

Walk the walk

Day 19.
A little more abstract, no? I love the contrast of my pants and shoes while I walk through this building. Sadly, this was by far the best shot of dozens tonight.

Homemade Goodness

Day 18.
Today I made brownies from scratch. Oh. My. God. So ($*)&#)(*$*%#$($*&@ing good! Good thing it's a small batch because it's going to be gone by tonight.

You Betcha!

Day. 17.

Okay, taken day 17, posted day 18... I'm working on it.

Nature is Delicious

Day 16.
Sun surprised me in what was supposed to be a two week rain-fest.

I visited Pier Park for the first time today which has a huge disc golf course. It was a total sausage-fest but looked like a good time. There was also a dilapidated merry-go-round that a certain someone decided to sit on and get covered in axle grease.

St. Patrick's Day

Day 15.
Some days it seems like you can't shake the world off. Bah! I'm in need of more St. Paddy's celebrating.

Need more bubbles

Day 14.
Let's just say I earned this bubble bath today.

Reach!

Day 13.
It feels like Spring is begging to start, but the rain just isn't having it. This little guy is desperate for the sun. Me too.

Rainy Saturday

Day 12.
Today a certain someone and I went to the Rebuilding Center. It is so very Portland and one of the coolest places I've been to here. It's basically a second hand Home Depot and a mecca for do-it-yourselfers.

The item on the left is a painted toilet-reservoir lid, then three doors, and me by the back alley. This place is the COOLEST!

More bad ideas

Day 11.

I spent WAY too much time this afternoon looking at other people's 365s and getting jealous of their fancier equipment and ability to make huge messes in their non-rented homes. So what do I do? Tease the f out of my hair and put on make up? You betcha! These were two of my favorites of many many dorky pictures.

With way more editing:

I don't recognize myself in profile. Bizarre.

Charlie Brown says

Day 10.
Workin' all day not makin' much can really knacker ya out. I was back in the theater again tonight. Two words: GOOD GRIEF!

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

Woman of intrigue?

Day 9.
Definitely parked across the street from the adult video store "Valentine's Videos" for this one. Well, actually, I'm parked in front of the body shop that's repairing a certain someone's vehicle. Never the less, it's sunny in Portland, I have Mexican leftovers for lunch, and I am happy today.

already a little behind

Day 8.
Lazy with phototaking, this was taken first thing the day after it was supposed to have been! Yesterday, the real day 8, was very busy.

Apron's Off

Day 7.
Some days I can not stand being domestic. My iron of 6 years left mineral deposits all over the shelf in the apartment AND leaked water all over my makeshift sewing room. Eww. To Target we went for a new model.

A surprise 30% off at the cash register? Tanqueray.

Cathartic Lethargy

Day 6.
Hooray! It's the end of a surprisingly arduous weekend, and I am indulging in one of my guilty pleasures. Sometimes when life is not feeling so bright and shiny, I watch an episode or two of Extreme Makeover Home Edition and cry it out. At the end, I feel much better.

I think there should be bonus points for another accidental reflection.

Never bite the hand that feeds you.

Day 5.
Even if that hand is your employer, or the freaky-unused hand fountain in the multi-use building that your theater is in. I have no idea where this hand has been, or what has been in it, so I only ate the tiny piece of bread that didn't touch the filthy bronze.

Tonight was the opening night of the play I'm house managing, and thus there was a big party after the show. Guess who got all the leftovers? Score.

Numero Quattro

Day 4.

Can I help you? There is something about almost sold out shows that makes my stomach turn. That's a lot of people to please at once.

I dig the reflection in the counter here. Expect more of that. Thank goodness that the building where I have the most of my free time is very colorful and has many unique looks within it.

Sleepless in Seattle

or Portland...

Day 3.
Speeding home after a late night at the theater, something here gives me the gritty feeling of Sin City. If only my car were cooler and my companion more rough and tumble and everything was monotone...

One of my favorite things about Portland is all the bridges. This is the Freemont Bridge, 1 of 2 that I cross on my way home.

There's lots to do tomorrow. This concludes another late night post.

The Waiting Game

Day 2.
I find myself waiting on a lot of good things to happen lately, including the end of this show I'm house managing. It is running about 2 hours and 45 minutes during which time I am not doing much but thinking about how to use the time more constructively. I except there will be many a photo taken here in the next few months.

I keep threatening to start researching an idea for a play while I am at work. Perhaps it is time for me to get a Multnomah Country library card and get to work. No?

Day 1 of 365

Day 1.
I'm starting the 365 project in earnest! Why today of all days? I quit the facebook, at least for a while. It was getting a little ridiculous.

This is the alley behind my apartment where I can see such entertaining activities as gutting a building, peeing behind dumpsters, and multi-party arrests. Incidentally you can also see the hills on the other side of the Willamette River from here, but I'll save them for another day.

Overall, lame photo. I am very new to this camera. Lots to learn from here!
